Phyliss Ann Sola Crawford July 2, 1939 — June 8, 2012 Angels Camp resident Phyliss Ann Sola Crawford died Friday at her home. She was 72. Mrs. Crawford was at Bonnie Baratono’s Maternity Home in Angels Camp and was a fourth-generation resident of Angels Camp. She was the only child of Marjorie and Alfred Sola. She attended Copperopolis and Angels Camp grammar schools and was in the Bret Harte High School class of 1957. She later attended Humphreys College in Stockton. She had worked as an aide at Michelson and Mark Twain elementary schools and as a clerk at Altaville Drug Store. She retired from Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital as director of marketing and public relations. She enjoyed camping, gardening, music and planning and decorating special events. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William C. Crawford Jr. and Leslie Crawford, of Atascadero, Chris “Slim” and Kamy Crawford, of Angels Camp, and Todd Crawford and Candice Hann, of Angels Camp; grandchildren, Rhiannon Anzar, of Jamestown, Courtney and Sydney Crawford, of Atascadero, Rick Crawford, of Sacramento, and Gilbert Patterson, of Angels Camp; one great-granddaughter; three cousins; in-laws, Doralie and George Crawford Sr.; one niece; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William C. Crawford Sr.; and her parents, Marjorie “Marge” and Alfred “Al” Sola. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at Angels Memorial Chapel. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Angels Camp. A celebration of life will follow at Angels Gun Club. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. Marshall Jay Rickard Sept. 3, 1924 — May 31, 2012 Marshall Jay Rickard, of Sonora, died May 31 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was 87. He was born on Balboa Island in Orange County, the son of Vera and Roy Rickard. He managed a Sears store for seven years and was a five-year resident of Sonora. He was preceded in death by two children, Marshall Rickard Jr. and Maureen Coulson. He is survived by his children, Doug Richard, of Placerville, Kate Tenney, of Modesto, Steve Rickard, of Waikoloa, Hawaii, Rosemary May, of Placerville, Bryan Rickard, of Sacramento, Tim Rickard, of Sonora, and Jonathan Richard, of Modesto; 14 grandchildren; and 17 grandchildren. No services are planned. Neptune Society of Central California handled arrangements. Charlotte Taylor Nov. 6, 1924 — June 5, 2012 Charlotte Taylor, of Copperopolis, died June 5 at Manteca Kaiser Hospital. She was 87. She was born on Nov. 6, 1924, one of five children of Dockery and Robert Rimble. After leaving Louisiana during World War II, she moved to Portland, Ore., where she opened her own catering business. She eventually left Portland and spent some time in Hanford in Kings County, where she met her husband, Edward Taylor. The two were married more than 40 years. They moved to Copperopolis from Oakland in the 1980s. She was a member of Lake Tulloch Bible Church for more than 27 years. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Ed Taylor, of Copperopolis; children, Gwen and and Robert Sarpy, of Oakland; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests remembrances be made to Lake Tulloch Bible Church, where she was a long-standing member. Cherokee Memorial Parks in Lodi handled arrangements. Notices BELEMECICH — A memorial service will be held for John “J.B.” Belemecich at 11 a.m. June 26 at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, 225 Rose Ave., Sonora, followed by a reception at the Office tavern, 155 S. Washington St., Sonora. Belemecich, 89, died May 31 at Avalon Care Center. CARLSON — A celebration of the life of Judy Carlson will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 24, at Eproson Park softball field in Twain Harte. Lunch will be served. Mrs. Carlson, 67, of Twain Harte, died Nov. 17 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. HARRINGTON — Marjorie Harrington, 94, of Sonora, died Sunday at Avalon Care Center. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. MASON — Marilyn Mason, 87, of La Grange, died Monday at Skyline Place. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
