Vehicle overturned in Sonora

A vehicle overturned in a crash this evening in the area of Highway 108 and Sanguinetti Road in Sonora, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported at 7:23 p.m. Friday with a sedan on its roof in the road. Bystanders reportedly helped someone out of the overturned vehicle, according to the Highway Patrol. A CHP dispatcher in Merced confirmed the vehicle accident. Information about possible injuries was not immediately available.

Indoor soccer tourney Sunday

The High Country Sports Arena will host a coed 7-on-7 indoor soccer tournament Sunday. The cost for one team is $35 but individual players are also accepted for $5 per competitor. Players of all ages are invited to participate. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. with games starting at 12:30 p.m. The day will also include live DJ’s, a crossbar challenge, and tamales.
